It’s not every day that rural Maine is the setting for a play. St. Dom’s Drama Society will put on a production of the newly written play, “Almost, Maine” by John Cariani. The play deals with the stories of Mainers and explores the intricate love, both reciprocated and unrequited, that they all share.
The play takes place on a Friday night in the dead of a frosty winter. Residents of a fictional township in Aroostook County are inexplicably falling in and out of love. The play consists of many intertwined stories. At 9 p.m., the aurora borealis suddenly sends each story on a twist. Is it coincidental? Do these northern lights spark and influence these star-crossed lovers? Come join us to find out!
The play will be performed May 4th and 5th, at 7 p.m. in the school commons. Tickets are $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for students and seniors. For reservations or more information, please contact the school at 782-6911 ext 3221, or email [email protected].
