LIVERMORE FALLS – Police are investigating the theft of a pocketbook from a Livermore Falls person that contained money, paychecks and prescription medication.

The owner reported the purse missing Saturday but hadn’t seen it since Wednesday evening, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said.

The bag contained $120 in cash, two payroll checks, a Social Security card and prescriptions for pain killers and antibiotics, he said.
