FARMINGTON – The Western Mountains Alliance is the seeking the community’s help in finding 39 former participants of the Youth Rural Leaders Forum, which ran in 1996 and 1997.

The forum sprung from a collaboration between the Healthy Community Coalition and Western Mountains Alliance.

The forum was one of the first programs with mentoring and leadership skills training to empower young people and help them become informed participants in civic life in western Maine and the world.

The alliance is beginning its 20th year of regional advocacy and community building and would like to invite the former youth leaders to join the anniversary celebration.
