The Midcoast Symphony will be joined by mezzo-soprano Heather Johnson and baritone Christopher Burchett at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Franco-American Heritage Center in Lewiston and Saturday at the Orion Performing Arts Center in Topsham. The two will perform arias and duets from operas by Puccini, Rossini, Donizetti, and Mozart. The program will also include Verdi’s “La Forza del Destino Overture,” and Felix Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4, “The Italian.” Johnson is a member of the New York City Opera. Burchett has appeared with the New York City, Glimmerglass and Santa Fe operas. Tickets are $12 for adults; 21 and younger, free.
