DAR meeting
FARMINGTON – Colonial Daughters Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will meet at Theo Walker’s house in West Farmington at noon Tuesday, May 22. Members are asked to bring a sandwich to swap with other members. Brenda Frost of Frost’s Antiques has been invited to do an Antique Road Show. Members are also being asked to bring a collectible item for the event. Guests are welcome.
Seniors session
LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on May 7 with 38 members present. Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting.
Those on the sick list included Dora Slovak, Mary Groleau, Joyce Richards and Blanche Newell. Shirley Toncer was welcomed back. Couture read cards of thanks for recent donations.
Monday, May 21, will be the final meeting before the summer hiatus. A meal of finger rolls, salads, ice cream and cake will be provided by the members.
The 50-50 was won by Lucile Frechette. The meeting adjourned and beano and other games were played.
Church supper
MEXICO – Mexico UCC (Green Church) will hold a public supper at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 12.
Cost is adults $7, children under 12 $3.
