FARMINGTON – The Franklin County Animal Shelter is holding its third annual kitten shower from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 20, in the North Dining Hall, University of Maine at Farmington.

Kitten showers are a relatively new idea that humane societies across the country have developed. There will be games and refreshments, like a baby shower, and the shelter hopes the community will attend bearing gifts for the babies that are in their care.

Kitten chow, toys, formula, bedding, canned food and anything else kitten-related is needed.
