Retired Franklin County deputy Frank O. Brown, formerly of New Sharon, reacts Friday afternoon after a surprise visit from Oxford County Sheriff Wayne Gallant at the Rumford Community Home, in which Brown now resides. Gallant gave the 91-year-old a certificate, welcoming him to Rumford and thanking him for his years of service as a deputy sheriff. Gallant said Brown, who retired in the 1960s, is the longest living Franklin County deputy sheriff.
