AUBURN The First Auburn Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, at Hasty Community Center. Lucy Cowles will be in charge of memorial services. Tickets will be on sale for the Italian sandwich luncheon on Wednesday, June 20. There will be the usual raffle table, and bingo will be played after a bag lunch.

The group had the annual anniversary dinner May 2 at Martindale Country Club with Vice President Shirley Hwkins as Mistress of Ceremony. Chaplain Patricia Donohue read a poem, and members having birthdays in May were honored with the “Happy Birthday” song.

A musical program was presented by Charles Marshall, pianist. Special guest was Jan Biron from the Auburn Park and Recreation Department. Pot of gold winners were Lorraine Marcous, Guy Donohue, Mary Tassinari, Joan Webb, Richard and Gerry Brushwein, Helen Merrow and Norma Masse.

A moment of silence was observed in memory of recently departed members Phyllis Davidson, Margaret Bourassa and former president of the organization, Audrey Fleming.

Auburn Park and Recreation will have a day trip as part of their seniors program on Thursday, May 31, to Point Sebago Resort. The van will depart from Pette

ngill Park; and the fee of $37 includes transportation and dinner. For details, call the Auburn Park and Recreation office. There is no limit as to residency and one does not have to be a member of First Auburn Seniors to attend.
