LEWISTON – Three divisions of the Lewiston Rec Softball League have already kicked off a new season this week.

The Coed National Division is set to begin tonight, as follows: 6:15, Fontaine Family Team vs Coastal Opticians, Randall Road-1; Builders, Inc. vs B-F.A.S.T., R-2; Almighty Waste vs Blue Goose, R-3.

The Coed American League was set to begin Monday with the following 8 teams: Buddy T’s Restaurant & Pub, Gilbert Masonry, Mulligan’s, Akers Crusaders, DHHS, Play It Again Sports, CitiStreet, McDonald’s.

The Men’s National Division and Men’s American Division also began this week. In the National Division are 20-M, BT Pallet, Carlton Club, Gipper’s, Gridiron, Schemengee’s-Little Joe’s.

Housed in the American Division are: Ball Busters, Blue Goose, Delisle Construction, Fastbreaks, Gendron’s Auto Repair, L.A. Harley, Lewiston Pawn, Mockler Construction, Varsity Lettering.

AUBURN – Dave Langlois went 3-3, including a double, and drove in 3 runs to lead Interstate Batteries to a 17-12 victory in an opening game. Winning Pitcher Rob Farrington and Art Butcher also went 3-3.
