LEWISTON – Former Cleopatra restaurant owner Harun Sheekhey, a 27-year-old Somali who moved to Lewiston from Denver two years ago, closed his business because of $5,000 in back sales taxes owed to the Maine Revenue Services, which revoked the restaurant’s seller registration. He previously closed his restaurant for a time in 2006 after it was hit by vandals. The back-taxes shutdown occurred shortly after he reopened for business. An Associated Press story on A1 on Friday, May 12, was unclear.
