Virginia Goyette, a fourth-grader at Montello Elementary, has 10 inches of her hair cut for Locks of Love by Rich Stone at the Lewiston school on Thursday. Eight students and seven teachers donated their hair to the program that provides hairpieces to children suffering from long-term medical hair loss. The school also raised $1,100 for the non-profit organization, said third-grade-teacher Tracy Gendron. Stone is the owner of Orbit Hair Styling in Auburn.
