LEWISTON – Androscoggin Special Olympic athletes will meet today at Bates College for the annual Track & Field Day. However, due to postponement last week and the forecast of inclement weather today, a different format will be implemented.

It’ll be a training day only, with no competitions. Athletes and coaches may attend from 9 a.m. to 12 noon to work on skills and secure times and distances. After today, if coaches have times and distances that need to be changed they should contact Ian at the State Special Olympic Maine Office.

Registration will be from 8:45-9:15 a.m. Opening ceremonies begin at 9:15. Track and field training will start at 9:30.
