WATERVILLE – The 2007 Colby-Bates-Bowdoin Football Skills Clinic will be held on Saturday, July 28 at Colby College from noon to 5 p.m. Eligible are players entering Grades 9-12.

Coaches from those 3 colleges, plus Husson and Maine Maritime Academy will make up the camp staff. Cost is $40 for those who pre-register and $45 on the day of the clinic. Players should bring T-shirt, shorts, sneakers and cleats. No helmets are needed. Registration will take place from noon to 1 p.m.

Softball clinic planned

BETHEL – Higher Ground Softball, an international leader for instructional services and products, is conducting a girls’ softball clinic (ages 10-18) on June 29-July 1 at Telstar Regional High School in Bethel. The times are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Fee for the 3-day clinic is $160 that includes a T-shirt. Coaches are also welcome, with an entry fee of $35.
