SOUTH PARIS – Senior attackman Zach Ward netted a hat trick as Edward Little won a hard-fought battle, 6-4, over Oxford Hills in boys’ lacrosse action Saturday.

The Vikings (0-9) knotted up the contest, 4-4, part way through the fourth quarter, but senior attackman Bryan Campbell quickly responded with the game-winning goal for Edward Little.

Victor Dumais had an outstanding performance on defense for the Red Eddies (4-5), making nine ground balls and recording 14 take aways.

Hebron 8, Hyde 4

HEBRON – Three Hebron players scored two goals apiece as the Lumberjacks chopped their way to an 8-4 victory over Hyde in the MAISAD lacrosse championship Saturday afternoon.

Cameron Lao-Gosney recorded a pair of goals and assists, while Roman Lao-Gosney tallied a goal and two assists to put the players over the 225-point plateau for a four-year career at Hebron.

Bobby Thoits notched a pair of goals and three assists, while John Whalen chipped in with a pair of goals. The Lumberjacks (11-3) took the MAISAD championship for the second straight year.

Mike Box paced the Pheonix (7-7) with a pair of goals and an assist.

Girls’ lacrosse

Hebron 14, Gould 4

HEBRON – Shelly Bolduc and Taylor Fey combined for nine goals as Hebron Academy routed Gould Academy, 14-4, in girls’ lacrosse action Saturday. The Lumberjacks jumped out to a commanding 9-1 lead at the half. K.J. Forand added another three goals in the strong offensive effort.

Hillary Reis led the Huskies with a pair of goals in the loss.

Goalie Aysia Goldman made 12 saves for Hebron, while Alexia Rho turned back three for Gould.
