U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales worked for President Bush when he was governor of Texas.

In 1996, Gov. George W. Bush was summoned to jury duty. Wanting to appear like a “regular guy,” Bush said he’d do his civic duty and reported for jury duty. For jury duty in Texas they require a person to fill out an informational form. One of the questions on the form asks whether the person has ever been accused of a crime.

Bush left the question blank and left. It seems that Bush was arrested for disorderly conduct in New Haven, Conn., in 1966, but not convicted. And remember that Bush was arrested for drunken driving in Maine in 1976. Also remember that he was 30 years old at the time, and not some stupid kid. He should have known better.

Gonzales allegedly went to the judge overseeing jury duty in Texas and Bush was not required to serve on the jury or finish filling out the form.

I believe that is why Bush is so loyal to Attorney General Gonzales.

How would Texans feel knowing that their governor was a criminal?

How do Americans feel knowing that their president is a criminal?
