LEWISTON – The wedding of Trish A. Gowell and Shawn Warren Hazelton was held on Nov. 18 in a candlelight ceremony at the Bates College Chapel in Lewiston. Charles Hinckley, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Hazelton is the daughter of Mario and Patricia Gowell of Wales. Mr. Hazelton is the son of Earl and Linda Micklon of Norway.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown with lace bodice and sequins and pearls and she carried a bouquet of roses with Calla lilies and ivy.

A friend of the bride, Heather Renn, was honor attendant, and bridesmaids were Melissa Gowell and Janice Gowell, sisters. Jasmyne Thornton, niece of the bride, was flower girl.

A brother of the bridegroom, Josh Hazelton, was best man, and ushers were Jed Millett, cousin of the bridegroom, and John Monahan, friend of the bridegroom. Alex Fox, cousin of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Ramada Inn in Lewiston, after which the couple traveled on a cruise to the Western Caribbean. They are residing in Otisfield.

The bride is employed as manager at BJ’s in Portland. The bridegroom is employed at Pratt and Son and PACE.
