Upon returning to Rumford after a five-week vacation, I was appalled and disheartened to learn that an unsigned letter had been sent to the newly appointed town manager, warning him to stay away from this town.

Residents need to stand up to these underhanded tactics by voting for Jolene Lovejoy and Brad Adley in the June 12 election. Lovejoy impresses me with her honesty and work ethic. She is prepared and knowledgeable about the issues at hand at each Selectmen’s meeting. It is admirable that she possesses the courage to stand up for her beliefs and speak out for what is right, even in a hostile environment.

I am supporting Jolene Lovejoy and Brad Adley, who will work with integrity to get Rumford moving ahead.
