YARMOUTH – North Yarmouth Academy has announced two new camp offerings for this summer.

Music Theater Camp will be under the direction of Julia Littlefield. Campers will bring to life Disney’s “Aladdin Junior,” adapted from the animated movie. Campers will have the opportunity to dance and sing, while learning about scenery, costumes and make-up. No experience is necessary.

Sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, Aug. 6 to 17, for students grades three to eight in Safford Center, North Yarmouth Academy, 148 Main St., $285.

B-FAST (Fitness.Agility.Speed.Training) will offer workouts with Dawn Strout, CSCS, MEd, director of the human performance program at Maine Medical Center Sports Medicine. She was the head strength and conditioning coach for Bowdoin College for eight years.

The camp is for students grade six and up and includes flexibility training, sprint mechanics, agility and balance training.

Sessions will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. June 19, 21 and 26, July 10, 17, 24 and 31 and Aug. 7; cost, $150.

Other camps include summer day camp, hockey academy, tennis academy, lacrosse academy, summer academy for readers, field hockey academy, soccer academy, We DIG History! archaeology camp, and world percussion/steel pan camp. Students who are part of the Portland, Bangor or Lewiston public school systems and are in grades three through six are eligible for up to $1,000 in scholarship funds.
