Three holes-in-one were recorded in recent action on area courses, including two on the same hole.
Two aces were registered on the #2 hole at Wilson Lake Country Club at Wilton during the holiday weekend. Longtime member Stewart Durrell scored an ace on May 25 using a 7-iron. Playing partners were Rick Wells and Peter Benson. It was Durrell’s second career hole-in-one.
Also notching an ace on the same hole on Sunday was Rick Carlton. He used a 7-iron for his third career ace. Witnesses were Matt Leclair, Steve Hamilton and Ryan Wilkins.
At Martindale Country Club in Auburn, Gail Cailler collected her first hole-in-one, acing the #4 hole, 127-yards, using a #5 “hybrid”. Witnessing the feat were her husband, Dan, and Maureen and Neil Mayo.
