LEWISTON – Maine Family Federal Credit Union has announced its 2007 scholarship recipients.

Luke M. Bonenfant, son of Tina-Marie T. Landry and Guy R. Landry, Lewiston, is the recipient of the $1,000 Founders Scholarship. He has been accepted at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

He has been active in L-Club, a community service club for athletes, Math Team, Student Council, National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society, as well as a player on Lewiston High School’s state championship tennis team.

He has worked part-time at the Hannaford Pharmacy since 2004 and is already a licensed pharmacy technician.

Danielle Lyn Dubuc, daughter of Daniel and Karen Dubuc, Lewiston, is the recipient of the $1,000 Roger Bissonnette Scholarship. She will attend Boston College to study nursing. Dubuc has received many awards in softball and varsity swimming in the past four years. She is a member of Outing Club, National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society.

She was also a member on the Math Team. She is a lifeguard, water safety instructor and has volunteered with children. She is a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Dubuc has also been nominated as a Lewiston Shining Star for her community service.

Lauren Landry, daughter of Ronald Landry, Lewiston, is the recipient of the $1,000 Maurice Fontaine Sr. Scholarship. She will attend Emerson College to study journalism. She has received writing awards and was a semi-finalist in the 2006 Governor’s Young Writer of the Year Award and in a national poetry competition. She writes for the school newspaper and literary magazine, as well as the Academic Advocate. She is in concert choir and National Honor Society. She works part-time at Sears, volunteers for the Special Olympics, Relay for Life and takes dance classes.

Maine Family Federal Credit Union, founded in 1938, has offices at 555 Sabattus St., Lewiston, and 831 Minot Ave., Auburn.
