NORWAY – Bob and Millie Pope recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple was married in Oxford on July 16, 1957, by the Rev. Dunston.

Their two children are James and his wife, Rhonda Tibbetts, of Norway, and Vicki Tibbetts of Norway. They also have four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Pope was a barber in Norway for 34 years, retiring in 1997. Mrs. Pope worked at Cornwall’s, Ashton’s Drug Store and L.F. Pike and Son. They both were active in the Norway Tracker Snowmobile Club, Norway-Paris Drum and Bugle Corp, members of the Swinging Bears Square Dance Club for 22 years and are life members of the Norway Fish and Game.

The couple is planning a trip to Niagara Falls in July for their anniversary.
