FARMINGTON – The Franklin County Animal Shelter is promoting the adoption of all cats. This month is Adopt a Shelter Cat Month and in honor of that, adult cats are free for adoption through Monday, June 18.

All cats are neutered and spayed, tested for disease, dewormed, vaccinated and defleaed.

Some of the adoptable cats include Princess, a black and white lady who is pleasantly plump. She loves to roll on her back and to have belly rubs.

Doolittle, who is about a year old, loves to explore anything and everything, and he darts about the room checking to make sure there are no toy mice.

Delilah, who loves to go out doors, goes for walks on a harness and leash with staff.

The shelter is seeking donations of canned cat food and litter, paper towels, bleach kitten and other cleaning supplies. They are also looking for a few larger items such as baby playpens, strollers and a baby plastic slide for the kittens.
