Gospel concert

LIVERMORE FALLS – The Campbells will perform a gospel concert at 7 p.m. Friday, June 15, at the First Baptist Church on Church Street. Admission is free. Love offering will be taken and there will be refreshments.

Film to be shown

WILTON – “An Inconvenient Truth” will be aired at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at the Wilton Congregational Church, Main Street. Guest will be Professor Doug Reusch, Department of Geology, University of Maine at Farmington, who will discuss the global climate change. The public is invited.

Free supper

WILTON – The First Congregational Church, UCC, Main Street, will host a free public ham supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 16. The menu will include ham, potato salad, macaroni salad, beans, bread, beverages and desserts. Donations will be accepted.

Rowe to speak

FARMINGTON – Maine Attorney General Steve Rowe will speak Sunday, June 17, on “The Importance of Investment in Early Childhood Education.”

His presentation, open to the public, will be at 4:30 p.m. in Room C, North Dining Hall, Student Center, University of Maine at Farmington.

Rowe’s appearance is sponsored by the Franklin County Democratic Committee and will follow the regular meeting of the committee at 4 p.m.

Rowe, who reminds audiences that he gets to see the results of lives of people who have not had nurturing and support early in life, will speak on the value of early intervention in children’s lives and the importance of pre-kindergarten education programs.

The public is invited and refreshments will be served.
