The Knights and Dodgers each picked up a win over the weekend in Men’s Senior Baseball League action.

Jon Tarr allowed only one run over six innings to lead the Knights past the White Sox, 4-3, at Auburn Suburban. The Sox suffered their first loss of the season.

Randy Ridley pitched the ninth to earn the save.

Tarr also clouted a two-run double in the fifth for the Knights. Paul Hansen and Derek Lamb added RBI singles.

For the White Sox, Sean Cheetham drew a bases-loaded walk and belted an RBI double. Mike Hlister and Jim Wacenske each slapped two hits for the Sox. Tarr had two of the Knights’ eight hits.

The Dodgers also handed the Red Sox their first loss of the spring with a 12-8 decision in Wiscasset. Steve Curtin pitched six innings to get the win.

Brett Witherell led off the fourth inning with a home run for the Sox.

Repeat hitters for the Sox were Eric Palleschi (double, two singles), Josh Nichols, Joe Wilson and Bob Cochran. Mark Morris, Dave Daigle and Harry Dwyer each had three of the Dodgers’ 13 hits.

The Red Sox travel to Auburn on Sunday to face the Outlaws at Pettengill Park, while the Dodgers host the Westies at Wiscasset.

The White Sox have a bye until June 24.
