FARMINGTON – All nine towns in SAD 9 approved the budget Tuesday. The spending package is $23,776,097.

Farmington passed all questions pertaining to the budget.

New Sharon, Temple, Vienna, Weld and Wilton also passed all questions on the school referendum.

Chesterville voters passed all but three questions, including ones that raised $1,211,074 for additional local funds, the amount of $1,968,497 for leadership including administration and the district superintendent’s office, and a question on the appropriation of $1,029,081 for capital debt obligations.

A tie vote of 43 yes, 43 no was received on question 4, which authorizes expenditure of the proposed $23,776,097 budget for the fiscal year.

Industry had a tie vote, 45-45, on question 7, which appropriates $1,968,497 for leadership. Voters decided 35-12 not to authorize school directors to expend additional funds received during the fiscal year.

New Vineyard said no to four of the 13 questions on the school referendum. They voted 33-29 not to raise additional local funds; 33-30 against $2,492,790 for instructional support, including guidance and library extracurricular activities; 36-27 against school leadership for administration of the district; and 32-30 against operations or the maintenance of physical plant and grounds, insurance, utilities.
