I think that I have come up with the reasoning behind the support by some top-ranking bipartisan members of Congress for the new immigration law.
The politicians who back the amnesty legislation to allow 20 million illegal aliens to be granted citizen status in our country are probably getting large campaign donations from various companies that hire illegal aliens.
Those companies reap big profits by paying very low wages.
Once the illegal aliens have citizen status, they will then qualify to get welfare benefits, subsidized housing, food stamps and who knows what else because their income is considerably below the poverty level.
This welfare load will be again carried by the working middle class of this country as a hidden tax.
