LEWISTON – Major Division playoffs in the Elliot Little League will begin Saturday, June 23. In the 2 p.m. opener, Hannaford will take on Aubuchon. The second contest at 5:30 matches Rowe Fordland and Dube Flower.
Brandon Perron collected 3 hits, including his first Major Division homer, in leading Hannaford to a 15-7 victory over Aubuchon Hardware Monday. He scored 4 runs. Starting pitcher Conner Perron allowed just 3 hits over 5 innings, striking out 10. Nick Boom threw 10 pitches in the last of the sixth, fanning the side. Jordan Charest was a repeat hitter for Aubuchon. Austin Wing ripped a 2-bagger for the Grocers.
South Lewiston
LEWISTON – Play It Again Sports nipped Auburn Suburban’s Rotary 14-13 in an extra inning thriller in the Major Softball Division.
Michelle Malia knocked in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh. Haylee Jamison and Kelsey Dumond were repeat hiters. Sadie Beaudin made an outstanding catch to preserve the win. Bethany Fox was the winnng hurler in relief and also produced some offensive spark. Breana Bray had multiple hits for Auburn. Alexis Leclerc and Amanda Williams also had a fine game.
