AUBURN – The First Auburn Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m., today at Hasty Community Center, Pettingill Park with installation of officers. Members will enjoy a luncheon of Italian sandwiches with dessert.

Tickets will be on sale for the chicken BBQ on July 18; cost $4. Bingo will be played following lunch.

There will be no more brunches until September.

The group met June 6 with 67 members present. Nomination of officers with acceptance of same were as follows: President Pat Records; Vice President Angie Jipson; Chaplain Patricia Donohue; Correspondence Secretary Lucy Cowles; Treasurer Gerry Brushwin; Membership Chairman Patricia Edwards. Selection of recording secretary has not as yet been determined. Board members were as follows: Chairperson Betty Hebert, Nelson Edwards, Robert Atkins, Joan Webb, Kaye DeBurra and Clare Haskell.

Trip chairman Joyce Poole announced $59 is due by July 18 for the Carousel Theater trip in Boothbay Aug. 7. For information, contact Poole at 784-3429 or Doris Michael at 782-6962.

Auburn Parks and Recreation is taking reservations up to June 27 to the Arundel Barn Playhouse for the July 13, 2 p.m. matinee, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” fee $35 (ticket and transportation) with dinner on your own following the show at Cole Farms in Gray. For sign-up and further information, call 784-0191.

Those having birthdays in June were recognized, and the “Happy Birthday” song was sung. Attendance prize winners for the June 6 meeting were George Remillard and Eugenia Dixon; pot of gold, Marion Gayton, Judy Holbrook and Ralph Lashua. Following the meeting and lunch, bingo was played.
