Rebecca JM Dionne, a 2003 graduate of Oak Hill High School in Wales, earned a bachelor of science degree in environmental and forest biology from the State University of N.Y. College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse.

She attained president’s honor list, was 2005-2006 vice president and 2006-2007 president of the Bob Marshall Outing Club. Dionne volunteered many hours improving trails in the Adirondacks and Finger Lakes region of New York.

In the summer of 2006, she did field work for the LEAP project at UMO Department of Wildlife Ecology. This summer she will complete an internship at the Maine Environmental Research Institute in Blue Hill. Dionne is the daughter of Maurice and Rita Dionne of Wales and granddaughter of Maurice and Bertha Dionne of Lewiston.
