WEST PARIS – Selectmen on Thursday began considering a request to share an Emergency Management Agency director with Greenwood and Paris.
Town Manager John White said Woodstock had also been asked to join the group, but that town already has a director.
Selectmen want to see a study committee with members from each towns develop a plan for sharing the post.
EMA directors coordinate emergency services in the event of a disaster.
No deadline was set for the study.
In other business, selectmen scheduled a special meeting for 9 a.m. Wednesday in the meeting room at the town office on Kingsbury Street to complete business delayed while summer road projects and other matters were dealt with.
