Sprint will reportedly replace Nextel as the title sponsor of NASCAR’s premier racing series in 2008. “Sprint Cup” sounds better than “Nextel Cup”, but they’re going to need to change “The Chase for the Sprint Cup” because everyone will be calling it “The Sprint for the Chase Cup” half the time.

Ohio State basketball player David Lighty pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge and was fined $250 in a case involving a jogger who was shot with a BB gun last year. How the heck does this guy plan on making it in the NBA if he’s using a BB gun to shoot at people? Doesn’t he know the pros only use Glocks?
