The National Scholarship Fund has concentrated its efforts over the past several months to helping Maine’s young adults who have grown up in foster care receive a college education at an accredited institution of their choice.
Even with standard financial assistance that many of these students transitioning from foster care may receive, traditional grants and scholarships do not always fully pay for tuition, room and board, books, computers, etc. The goal of this initiative is to help young adults who have grown up in foster care graduate debt free, and become productive, successful members of the community.
For more information, contact the National Scholarship Fund at (207) 570-7502.
