PARIS – The following events are coming up at the McLaughlin Garden:
June 27: Rustic Furniture with Don Gouin, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Gouin has been working with wood, creating furniture and decoration for homes and gardens for many years. He will present an informative talk and display of his creations. He will also create a rustic furniture piece with instructions on how to replicate it for your own garden.
July 6: Art in the Barn Opening Night, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., features the photography of Maine native Jeanne Wells. Having exhibited all over the world, she will present her traditional dark room photos featuring botanical subjects in black and white.
July 7: Norway Summer Festival Sidewalk Art Show, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Garden Café will have a booth again at this year’s Art Fest. For more information, visit www.downtownnorway.com.
July 10: “97 Main Street, A History,” 7 p.m. Join Lee Dassler, former executive director and one of the original founders of this historical landmark, as she provides a slide show presentation and lecture on the history of the buildings of the McLaughlin property.
