Big Sisters and their “Littles” from Oxford, Androscoggin and southern Franklin counties joined in a recent celebration of their “Beauty Within.”
This is the third year that matches from the nonprofit Child Health Center’s Big Brothers/Big Sisters program have had a special day of caring and esteem-building.
Volunteers from the community helped Big and Little sisters spend an afternoon of pampering and shared time in doing crafts. Little Sisters had their hair styled, nails polished and a lesson from a professional about applying make-up.
It was a day for the girls to celebrate their “girlhood,” to have fun and meet other Big and Little Sisters.
