Jason Giambi has agreed to meet with George Mitchell to talk about his personal history with steroids as part of the former Maine senator’s investigation into the use of steroids in baseball. This should be quite the dialogue — one of the great minds in America and “The Giambino”. What could possibly top that? Maybe a Stephen Hawking/Mike Tyson meeting.

The cars driven by Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson failed initial inspection and were not allowed to practice or qualify Friday for the NASCAR Nextel Cup race at Infineon Raceway. Man, I knew the inspection standards introduced by the Legislature this year were tough, but I didn’t realize they were that far-reaching.
