AUGUSTA – Players and coaches from the 2007 Eastern Class A Championship Lewiston High School Hockey Team received a legislative sentiment from the members of the Lewiston-Auburn delegation on June 6.

Rep. Elaine Makas, D-Lewiston, primary sponsor of the sentiment, said, “The team overcame adversity and obstacles and remained positive throughout the season to reach the finals. It is a young team, with only three seniors on it, and it is a team with a fine academic record as well.”

Twenty-three out of 30 members of the team have a grade average of 85 or better, and four are National Honor Society members. The legislators extended congratulations and best wishes to the coaches and the members of the team on their season.
