I think a recent letter by Al Pelletier (June 20) needs a correction. This nation doesn’t have a king in place, it has a puppet as president, and it has had a puppet president since Jimmy Carter.
There is a godfather behind the corruption that has taken place today in the nation’s government, when top people go in front of committees, are sworn to tell the truth in testimonies and then don’t seem to remember anything. They are let go, free. That is a slap in the face to the legal system.
If I went in front of a judge, and every time a lawyer or judge would ask a question, I said, “I don’t remember,” I would be taken to jail for contempt of court.
The legal system is corrupt from the top and this is proven in the committee hearings, as the godfather’s lieutenants are protected from saying anything and then let go, free.
