Strawberry cake
FARMINGTON – Homemade strawberry shortcake will be served July 4 at the Pierce House lawn, Main Street, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The price for the shortcake is $3.
Proceeds will benefit the kitchen remodeling project at the Old South First Congregational Church. The kitchen has been completely remodeled and updated with commercial appliances and custom built cabinets to accommodate all the church and community functions that take place at Old South. The remodeling project is in the final stages.
Golf clinic in July
PHILLIPS – Winona Davenport and Justafield Golf Teaching Center will host a first rules clinic from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, at the teacher center on Route. Rain date is July 8. Participants should bring a bag lunch and drink, bug spray, ball, marking pen and one club. Donation is $10.
The teaching center is set up with water hazards, lateral water hazards, out of bounds, movable and immovable obstructions. Participants will learn what to do if a ball is unplayabl, when to play a provisional ball, and other rules of the game. FMI: 369-4296.
Rangeley sale
RANGELEY – The Episcopal Church Women of the Good Shepherd Church invite the community to bring yard, garage or craft sale items to their lawn sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 30. The church is on Main Street.
Indoor space is available, but limited. Tables are available for rent at $10, whether you bring a table or use one from the church.

Voter reunion
