AUGUSTA – Mara G. Davis of Wilton has been awarded an internship at the office of U.S. Sen. Susan Collins. Her primary duty will be to assist Sen. Collins with constituent relations.
“Internships are extremely beneficial in providing students with the opportunity to gain real life experiences,” said Sen. Collins. “During Mara’s internship she will be able to learn the inner workings of a congressional office by experiencing it first-hand.”
Davis, the daughter of Gregory Davis and Gayle Lyons, is a 2006 graduate of Mt. Blue High School in Farmington. This fall, she will enter her sophomore year at Thomas College in Waterville where she is majoring in political science and government. She is also the president of Thomas College’s PBL chapter, which focuses on leadership and business skills. Davis is also class treasurer, a member of the varsity soccer team, and a member of Peer Advisors.
