There are many advantages for the two cities to share the city manager position, but we must get the right one.
I, as a taxpayer, feel that Jim Bennett is not the right one. He has built (no pun intended) his reputation and resume on the backs of taxpayers from Lewiston and Westbrook.
Auburn and Lewiston do not want or need him here to continue as he is. We need a full audit of all divisions of city and state government in order to reduce taxes. If the governing body of Maine spent as much time looking how to reduce taxes instead of looking for new ways to tax, we all would be better off.
