POLAND – Jake Pelletier drove in Nick Mullins with the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh as Gilman Electric Post 150 recovered from squandering a five-run lead to defeat Gayton, 9-8, in Zone III American Legion action Thursday.

Mullins had four hits to lead Gilman’s 15-hit attack. Joe Douglass had a double, a two-run homer and four RBIs for Gilman (4-1), while Pelletier had a pair of hits and drove in three. Eric Picard also had a pair of hits. Greg LaBonte and Travis Dyke led Gayton (5-3) with two hits apiece.

Gray Post 86 12, Bessey Motors 2

GRAY – Nick DeRice had a pair of hits, including a grand slam, to lead Gray Post 86 to a 12-2 win over Bessey Motors.

Josh Sundquist also went deep for Gray (4-2). Joe Billings went the distance to pick up the win. Ben Goodall and Justin Frechette had two hits apiece for Bessey (3-4).
