At the recent Veterans of Foreign Wars state convention in Presque Isle, James E.N. Bachelder was sworn into office to lead the Department of Maine, VFW, for 2007-08.

Bachelder is from Sanford-Springvale VFW Post 9935 in Sanford and makes his home in Acton with his wife Nora and their six children.

Bachelder is a Vietnam veteran, and his theme for Maine’s VFW posts and members this year is: “Proud-Brave-Reliable.”
