The article about the Norway Summer Festival and its featured event, the sidewalk art show, in the Sun Journal section was great (June 28). I would like to add that the festival is sponsored by Norway Downtown, which hired Aranka Matolcsy as the coordinator. Matolcsy is working hard with an able steering committee and partnering with individuals and groups to create a wonderful event.
It is important to note the involvement of Norway Downtown, a Maine Street revitalization program, one of nine such communities in Maine. The program is dedicated to present and future prosperity by seizing opportunity and building on existing assets. Funding comes from Community Development Block Grants.
