FARMINGTON – Pine Tree Internal Medicine announces that Dr. David Rice will join the practice at the Mt. Blue Health Center next to Franklin Memorial Hospital in July.

With his addition, the adult medicine practice is open to new patients.

Rice is a board-certified internist with 13 years experience in Texas, where he practiced in hospital and office settings. Most recently, he served as chief of inpatient medicine and associate program director for internal medicine residency at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas. He has also served as an assistant professor at Texas A&M School of Medicine, as well as medical advisor and board member for Hope Force International, a charitable, nonprofit organization that coordinates with other disaster relief organizations to assist with disaster relief and grief consoling through an organized network of volunteers and churches.

Rice completed his internal medicine residency at Scott and White Hospital, and received his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Science School of Medicine. He enjoys all aspects of internal medicine, especially cardiology, nephrology and diabetic care.

Rice, his wife and their two daughters will soon move to a home in Farmington.
