LEWISTON – Hartman Cyr, 75, of Lewiston, died early Monday morning, July 2, at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born in Madawaska, May 11, 1932, the son of George Cyr and Elisabeth Cyr. He attended school in Biddeford as well as the Baxter School for the Deaf, in Portland.

He attended the William T. Twarog Senior Enrichment Center in Auburn for many years where he had many friends and staff members who cared about him. He was a patriotic man who often wore the United States Marine Corps crest on his clothing. He enjoyed making craft items with plastic canvas and yarn.

He received services from John F. Murphy Homes for the past several years. He resided at Two Teakwood Knoll, and had made his home at Hotel Road beforehand. Prior to this, he received support in the home of John and Wanda White.

He was one of seven siblings.

He is survived by his three sisters, Dolores Bernier and her husband, Rene, of Old Orchard Beach, Rena Drouin of Hartford, Conn., and Delta Dubuc of Vernon, Conn.
