AUGUSTA – Esther I. Norton, 67, of Pleasant Street, Lisbon Falls, died Monday, July 16, at The Maine Veterans’ Home after a short illness.

She was born in Yarmouth Aug. 11, 1939, a daughter of Earl and Fannie (Hason) Curit. She was educated in the Freeport school system.

She served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam. After the service, she married Leroy Norton. She worked for many years selling Avon.

She was a member of The Nazerine Church of Lisbon Falls, Delta Heart Chior, and TOPS. She also loved working with crafts and crocheting beautiful blankets and quilts for her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Fannie Harriman of Brunswick; four daughters, Stacey Gresham, Tracey Smith, Kimberly and Amy Norton, of Lisbon Falls; four grandchildren, Alan Voisine of Massachusetts, Eddie Gayton of Durham, Charnette Smith of Lewiston and Traylynn of Lisbon Falls.

She was predeceased by her father, Earl Curit; a borther, Raymond Curit; and her stepfather, Kenneth Harriman.
