Carl Douglass was installed the new District 9 VFW commander and his wife, Mildred “Millie” Douglass, was installed the new District 9 Auxiliary president at a VFW District 9 convention at the Jay VFW Post 3335 on April 15. On May 6, Carl was installed as commander of the Capt. Frank W. Hulett VFW Post 1603, 588 Minot Ave., Auburn, and she was installed as the VFW 1603 Auxiliary president. The double installation does not happen often. The new leaders are inviting people to join the VFW.
