LISBON – Two drivers escaped apparent injury in a collision on Route 196 in Lisbon Center on Wednesday afternoon.

Officer Darin Estes identified the drivers as Harry LaPointe, 77, of 20 Richard Terrace, Lewiston, and Randy Therriault, 17, of 33 Rabbit Road in Sabattus.

Estes said LaPointe was traveling west when his car crossed the center line and collided with Therriault’s that was approaching from the east.

Damage to LaPointe’s 2005 Chevrolet Malibu was estimated at $4,000 and to Therriault’s 1998 Chevrolet pickup at $5,000 in the 2:07 p.m. crash. Both vehicles were towed.

No charges were filed.
