At least somebody on the Nationals can hit
Washington Nationals pitcher John Lannan was ejected in his major league debut after hitting Philadelphia’s Chase Utley and Ryan Howard in consecutive at-bats in the fifth inning Thursday. If I were on the Nationals, I’d immediately cross Lannan off the rookie hazing list.
Soccer moms and sucker punches
An angry soccer mom at an under-8 game in Canada was arrested for allegedly attacking the referee, who was a 14-year-old girl. We do a lot of bashing of soccer on this page but this was obviously not the sport’s fault. It’s those unruly Canadians that need to be set straight. You can’t have hockey fights at soccer games.
