WEST PARIS – The annual summer book sale will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 4, at the West Paris Public Library, Main Street.

The books will be displayed on tables under a tarp on the library lawn in front of the library garden. In addition to donations, books weeded from the library collection will be offered. All proceeds will benefit the library – its building fund or in support of programs.

This year a summer reading program has brought elementary students to the library once a week to learn about such things as what makes a piano play, a computer work and a stock car operate. The program will run through the first week of August. A preschool program is being held Saturday mornings with reading, songs and a craft.

For more information, contact the library at 674-2004 any Monday or Friday from 1:30 to 6 p.m., Wednesday 1:30 to 7 p.m. or Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The book sale is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
